Greenstone Rennovation

The following excerpt was written by Ken Armstrong for the MH paper The Keystone:

Residences at the Greenstone on Poplar Avenue @ N. Waldren is the site of a phenomenal reservation project. Blackstar Capital Partners LLC purchased the building last year and converted it from an apartment complex to condominiums.
Built in 1927, it was made of materials from the George Arnold mansion, built at the site in 1890. These include the signature green stones, the main stone door on the Poplar facade and the mahogany staircase in the main entry. It was designed by the architect of the Pink Palace, Hubert T. McGhee. The only multi-residential building in Memphis to be listed on the National Register of Historic Places, it was used as an apartment building for eighty years. If you are interested in buying a home in the Memphis area, don't miss out on this historic property. Check here for more images and information.
