Volunteers Needed For Adopt a Door Set Up
This Saturday is the Donut Dash for the Adopt-A-Door fundraiser and we need help moving doors to set up for this event. We are in need of volunteers TOMORROW (Wednesday April 21st) to meet at the Marine Hospital 360 Metal Museum Drive at 4:30 pm to help move the doors. We apologize for the short notice but we never dreamed we would have such a demand for doors and that this event would be so popular. Please e-mail June West at jwest@memphisheritage.org if you can help or call 272-2727.

Help Memphis Slim Saturday April 18th!
On Saturday April 18th, Memphis Heritage will be spearheading a volunteer clean-up effort at the historic home of musician Memphis Slim located at 1130 College St. just across from the Stax Museum. We are coordinating this event along with Lemoyne Owen Community Development Corp. and students from the
University of Memphis School of Urban Affairs.
This is the start of a plan to assist in restoring the house to be used as part of a musician's village that would help rejuvenate the area of Soulsville.
Lemoyne Owen C.D.C. will provide the dumpster next to the house to assist in the clean up effort. We will be working outside and inside the property so we ask that all volunteers wear sturdy shoes and bring work gloves if you have any.
If you are interested in volunteering e-mail jwest@memphisheritage.org or call 901-272-2727 to sign up. We will need to plan ahead for volunteers so be sure to
RSVP to this wonderful opportunity!
