Presentation and Reception

Come learn about and experience one of the most controversial battles in the Civil War as we help showcase a new documentary film, The Story of Fort Pillow, a documentary film produced for the Fort Pillow Museum and State Historic Park by The William Bearden Company, the MRCT Lauderdale County Task Force Committee and the Mississippi River Corridor - Tennessee. Enjoy a brief presentation by Norm Hill and visit with producer Willy Bearden.

Norm Hill is a nationally recognized business leader who has built a stellar career in some of America's most successful companies. Currently, he serves as President of the Cracker Barrel Foundation for Cracker Barrel Old Country Store, Inc..

Inspired by his love for American History, Mr. Hill specializes in studying and interpreting the Civil War's influence on American culture and is a three-term Chairman of the Tennessee Historical Commission. He is a living history re-enactor who participates in activities that depict life in the 1800s. He currently serves on the Tennessee Civil War Sesquicentennial Commission.

A native of Akron, Ohio, Mr. Hill is a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and a graduate of the University of Akron. He and his wife Helena live in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, and they have two children and one grandchild.
